Jimmy is the typical thug. In 1985 Hubbard was on the lookout for a strong man to serve him in the future. Hubbard was already placing his cards for his future, one of these cards was a Hound that would be fearsome and impressive. Jimmy Dane was that man.
When he was part of the world wrestling federation he often had opportunities to come to montreal. Hubbard, then invictus primogen, had Caitlyn Marten embrace him. The embrace was not very difficult since the man was on a bad streak with the federation and he felt that he was about to be kicked out since he had a lot of trouble to be ordered to loose all the time.
Once he became kindred, he quickly took revenge on his promoter and made him a ghoul. This promoter is now working for Jimmy on a permanent basis and this gives Dane a good level of influence in the Wrestling industry. Since then, Jimmy has been part of all violent actions that the Invictus was part of and he worked very hard to become as strong as possible. Hubbard had Donovan train him in some more subtle skills like investigation and stalking skills. Caitlyn has kept a constant relationship with his child and Jimmy appreciates her a lot.
Dane also has some influences in a couple of biker gangs.
